Hey Everyone!
I'm excited to announce that we have extended the deadline for our Knit-A-Thon. Instead of having our blanket assembly party May 20th, we're giving everyone until June 30th to make that final push and get as many pledges as they can to support mothers in the Pioneer Valley.
We will be having a knitting circle in May (TBA) and our blanket assembly party will most likely be the weekend of July 2nd. We'll keep you posted!

We still need knitters!
Hey everyone! So glad you made it to the PBP Knit-a-thon blog. We still need knitters, so if you knit or you know someone who knits, it's time you signed up!
Here's how it works:
Step 1: Make a suggested contribution of $20-$50 to ensure your commitment.
Step 2: We give you a skein of yarn care of WEBS America's Yarn Store and a packet with everything you need to collect sponsors to pledge their support as you knit a square.
Step 3: Knit a 12" by 12" square with any design you like. Meanwhile, collect sponsors to pledge their support at the rate of approximately one penny per stitch. This works out to be about $30.
To meet our goal of $10,000 we need our knitters to raise $300 per square. That might seem like a lot, but all you need to do is get 10 people to sponsor you and you're there! Plus, you have until May 20th to collect your pledges.
We will have a knitting circle (TBA) at some point in May, where all of the knitters can get together and meet each other. Then in June we will have our blanket assembly party, where we will put the squares together into baby blankets and tally up the whole fundraiser.
